Sange's heart was racing as she dodged into the undergrowth. It was a mistake to pester that other loner. Now she found himself in the tranquility of a forest, just at the edge of that field...way west. The sun burned her brown fur, making it itch with heat. Sange backed into the undergrowth, her eyes scanning the surrounding foliage. There was no sign of that wolf now, but perhaps she had made another mistake.
Sange found himself in somepack's territory. She could only hope to find another way out soon. The timberwolf fae, stopped breathing so heavily, and listened. Now, Sange could hear only the chirping of birds, the occassional squeal of a pair of fighting chipmunks. Nothing else.
She forced himself not to worry. Sange could relax here in the afternoon sun, instead of run her paws off. The wolf slumped down, eyelids drooping with exaustion. Taking a small nap wouldn't do any wolf harm....

Keiran's paws carried him through the undergrowth, lifting his nose to the air. He felt new strength, after being accepted by Shadow...or at least half expected. The cool dawn made watery, cool light fall on his fur. He hadn't slept much in between wee conversations that went on between Shadow and Teri. But as dawn crept up on the three wolves, Keiran found himself following a new scent.
Oh so delicately, Keiran had nodded a thanks to Teri and padded off quietly. He smelled another wolf, and wolves always attracted others. His broad shoulders parted the ferns, to find a she-wolf. The fae was half alseep, her cranium resting on paws. Her fur was a light brown, not at all grey. But she was a timberwolf.
Keiran felt odd, disturbing her. He bent his head and nudged her ear in a waking gesture. "Ma'am?"

OOC: 'Lo, Keiran!
Sange was dozing, drifting into a world of warmth, when her ear flopped to the side. Her head rose from her paws, and she blinked, her vision blurry with sleep. There was a second wolf standing there, looking down at her curiously. He, too, was a timberwolf. His head was poised, probably from nudgind her. Gradually, Sange rose to her paws. She caught his one and only word. "Ma'am?"
"Yes, sir? Who are you?" Her last question seemed a bit sudden, especially becuase she just met him. But Sange wanted to know. He was tall and looked strong, with sinewy muscles under that pelt. But he looked kind enough.

OOC: 'Lo!
Keiran just managed to avoid those searching eyes, and replied steadily, "I am Keiran. And you may be?" Keiran was forced to meet her gaze, and eased himself into a more comfortable sitting position. His legs were beginning to get numb with standing.
Keiran somehow knew this wolf was a loner. A pack just claimed the night before could not already have a new member...except for Terri. How would Shadow react to yet another newcomer on her lands? "You do know this is a pack's land, right?" Keiran could only care.
He lowered his head to seem less threatening, and looked at the ground in a harmless manner.

"I'm Sange. A loner to these lands." Sange replied. "Im guessing you're one too?" Sange met "Keiran's" gaze, and listened to what he had to say. She was not surprised by the question.
"I am very well aware. And you know you are too, right?" Sange teased. All males had to ask that question. And Sange got used to it. Keiran seemed to melt down in his spot, his head resting, but eyes still on her. Sange crossed her paws.

"Yes, of course I know." Keiran replied, grinning broadly. He found himself leaning in, like he couldn't hear from two feet away. "I just wanted to make sure, you would...well, be safe." Keiran's ears burned with slight embarrassment, but he found himself more comfortable than he had a few moments ago.
"What would you be doing in these lands?" He asked curiously. For a moment, the pear green eyes caught him unaware, gazing straight at him. Keiran turned his head casually, his tail swishing through summer-crisp leaves. Had it been a normal day, a conversation with a normal wolf...ah, but, this was no normal day, as he was meeting with an unusually pretty wolf.
Keiran felt himself drawn to her, as if he'd known her before. Ah, the crossing paths of travelling wolves.

Sange let her head rest on her paws once more, a leaf-ruffling sigh escaping her jaws. At his words, Sange smiled. "I don't blame you. Finally, a brute that actually cares." Sange let her gaze meet his in a friendly way, before briefly touching her muzzle to his. Then, Sange looked away, more toward the rising sun.
"My business here?"Sange sighed once more. "I was hoping to join a pack, a family. To have family and a new beginning." Sange blinked at her past. "What about you?"

Keiran felt almost relieved at her words. "Exactly the same as you." Keiran felt even more that he could relate to Sange. There was playfulness in her voice as she spoke, "a brute that actually cares." Keiran felt almost surprised and flooded with affection as she rested her muzzle against his.
He felt welcomed and accepted. Keiran blinked warmly as she turned her gaze to the moning sun, dazzling her fur. Keiran longed for that warm affectionate touch again, but he felt sheepish thinking about that.
Keiran shuffled forward, as if he wanted to see that morning view, oh so gently leaning the side of his neck fur against her.

Sange felt almost surprised, and shyly, Keiran shifted himself to her side. A strange feeling was bubbling in her stomach like the babbling stream she'd found in the territory. Sange thought she'd never feel it. Sange searched Keiran's face for emotions, and saw only shyness and maybe a liking toward her.
It was awkward knowing he felt such a thing, and without even telling her so. What made it even more strange, was that they had just met, a chance encounter in a pack territory. Sange nestled her head between her forepaw and his, and gave Keiran a playful nudge on the cheek.

Kieran briefly closed his green eyes, enjoying the warmth he felt. Sange, too, had moved her head closer, but gave a hard enough nudge at him. Keiran wrinkled his nose, giving a look of mock indignance. Then he blinked. Was Sange trying to say friend?. Keiran sat up, making the decision to tell her about the area's new inhabitants.
"You don't have to feel worried about being in a pack's land. It was only just claimed last night...and I know the alpha." Keiran paused, regathering the information. "Her name is Shadow. Shadow Paw to be exact. And a pack member named Terri. They're friendly, and I could take you to meet them."
But Keiran wasn't so sure. Sange might by shy or nervous, and he didn't want her to feel that way. Keiran lowered himself again and pressed his muzzle to her ear. "You know, we're two loners in this world tha twant the same future. I think it would be best for us to stick together." And Keiran meant that truly. Sange was turning out to be a great wolf...maybe even a companion.

Sange's eyebrows creased in worry. She wasn't too sure about meeting the alpha and deciding to become part of a pack just yet. But it had been a kind offer. "Thanks...but no thank you." She replied, bowing her head.
Keiran pressed his muzzle to the side of her ear, blinking contentedly. Sange felt thrilled inside and what the brute said, and forced herself to remain calm. If he were ready to say that to her, it must mean a lot. Sange nuzzled him back, replying happily, "I would like that a lot! It could help us."
Sange would be most happy if this meant kind Keiran for her companion. He was obviously caring, and a friendly soul. He hadn't been rude nor mean since they met. And he seemed to really like her. Sange could not have wished for more in one day.
The light tan fae pressed herself closer to his body as the damp, cool summer dew began to sink into her fur. Keiran's warmth was comforting and welcome to her.

Sange's warm reply made Keiran's heart thrum happily. His tail brushed the grass, waving contentedly. Sange had accepted him, and he could not hold any of the boiling affection for her back. The more uncertain reply to his offer was lost on him, with such a happy mind.
Keiran was about to move closer, but she'd already moved closer to him. Ducking his head, Keiran rolled himself halfway over to nip affectionately at her maw. There was no need to ask if they were companions now.

Sange made a soft whine as Keiran nipped her chin. She rolled over, pawing at his more soft, white chest with yellow paws. Sange bobbed her head up to tug at one of his ears. The fae was automatically attracted to him like a magnet. Maybe this was the right time...a season, a setting, where she was in heat. And Keiran would be the perfect male to father her pups.
Sange wagged her tail, stirring up the grasses and leaves, brushing it against his flank.

Keiran felt a strange, pleasureable sensation as her tail whisked over his side, bringing with it the unmistakable scent of a female in heat. His thoughts were carried away as she bounced up and tugged gently at one of his pointed ears.
Keiran couldn't help thinking how embarrassed he would be if Shadow came across them. Terri. It wouldn't be good. For a good moment, he paused to look directly into Sange's pale green optics. "I wouldn't leave you alone. Not ever. And I mean that truly." Keiran did. There was no insisting upon himself to be done.

Sange saw the truth in Keiran's eyes. She could tell he wasn't lying. To her, it could only mean that both she and Keiran were each other's life long companions. Mates. Sange felt a funny feeling actually think the word mate. Could this be a fantasy dream?
No. She was awake enough. He was real enough. Sange gave long thought, nuzzling his neck with her muzzle. It felt right, and she felt ready. Sange wanted to be with Keiran as much as she wanted to be alive, and she also wanted him as hers; her pups' fathers.
After such consideration, Sange raised her rump toward the air, directing her tail aside. She nipped and played with his fur, giving a small whine.
Sange was ready.
