Name: Kapa
Age: Seven
Gender: Male
Species: Timber Wolf
Other: He is blind =D
Appearance: Kapa is a large wolf, quite so for his breed. He is very stocky, with a thick body and legs shorter than average; However, that does not impare him. During the winter, his coat is very thick, and not giving him an advantage. This is becase his coat is a dark, smokey grey. In the summer, this grey color lightens a little and his coat thins out some, revealig the round belly underneath.
He has a few battle scars to show off, and one includes his eyes. One has a scratch across the acual eye itself, that leads to the end of his nose. Both eyes have a glassy-blue hue to them, with a distant look in them at all times. There is a patch on his left side where no fur grows due to an injury during childhood. The tip of his tail was painfully torn when he was about four years old. Since then, the skin has regrown and it looks as though he has a short little flag behind him.
Personality: Kapa is a very diverse wolf. Due to his older age, he is very wise and knows how to make good decisions. Rather than wading through the river, he'd find a way around or over it, so to speak. Because of this, he chooses those around him wisely. He'll not make friends with a wolf who is going to bring him down. However, when you get to know him, Kapa can be a very kind wolf. Nearly always he'll be willing to help a fellow canine in need, unless he feels that they need a learning experiance, in which case he'll let them figure their own way of the mess they've created for themselves.
Kapa has many faults, however, against this good personality. He is rathere paraniod about not knowing where wolves are. This isn't very good, however, because of his dissability, now is it? Being blind, he is most often annoyed that he can't acually see the wolf he is speaking to. Kapa also is very cautious about mating, due to his history of mates...Dissapearing.
History: Let's start out with his birth. Kapa's mother had complications with her birth, and two out of four puppies died because of this. She did all she could for the other two pups. Of these two, there was Kapa and his sister, which was much later, Kinta. The parents noticed a few problems, but nothing to major. Kinta had a limp in her hind leg, but the pups were just fine. His mother was in pain from the childbirth, but recovered within a week or so.
When he was around two years old, he began to explore outside of the lands. His parents told him to stay near, but Kapa was simply adventerous. He continued his little outings at night for a year unnoticed, until one night he did indeed get noticed. Unlucky for Kapa, the wolf was rather rude, and ambushed him. Kapa was growing rapidly, so he attempted to put up a good battle; But it was too much. With a blow to his head, he was knocked unconcious.
When his parents found him the next morning, they nudged him until finally he awoke. His eyes opened, and he knew that his eyelids had lifted...And yet he could see nothing. The birds were singing of morning, but it was pitch black. He was ashamed to admit he'd been blinded by a female, but it was obvious something was wrong when he didn't look directly at his parents or sibling when speaking. He was having trouble getting around, and so his parents concluded indeed something had been messed up in his mind.
Because of his differance, his alpha would not permit him to breed. He feared that this would be passed onto his children, though it wasn't genetic. His parents, who by now were most deffinatly getting older, gave Kapa the permission to sneak away. He did so when the sun began to set, making his way out of the boarders of the pack.
When he was five, he settled with a female. The little plot of land was unowned, but he refused to take leadership of it for a reason that made him uneasy. He couldn't tell what it was like, and he could barely move upon the rough, mountainous terrain. Without an alpha, he was allowed to breed his mate, and so they did. When it was time for birth, Kapa kept outside of the den, pacing and trying to enter everyonce in a while but something holding him back. It'd been forever, and so he decide to go in. By the sent, there were pups, but no female. He searched for days, not being able to find his love. The mate had left, not yet ready for motherhood. Needless to say, the pups died without their mom's milk.
Since, Kapa has been wandering, staying a few months here and there but never really settling down. Though he has the personality for leadership, his disability has always kept him from doing so, and may always.
