The Settling
The wind blew hard, spewing numbing frost into the faces of two wolves. Senta, a male timber, and Khalu, an arctic female. Below them, the ledge dropping from the face of the mountain, stood a land, shrouded in mist. Khalu beckoned her mate to the edge of the ledge, peering through the fog, and whispering, "Our pups will reign here." Later, Senta and Khalu began the pack, Kezzarei. Their pups were born there. As the pack slowly accumulated members, they prospered.
The daughter of Senta and Khalu, Fereth, and her mate, Fenrir came to like each other. But Senta saw darkness in the male Fenrir's heart, and forbid his daughter being with him. Angered by her father, Fereth left the pack one night with Fenrir. Together, they founded the Kazz'can pack. Fereth began to see what her father Senta, had seen in Fenrir, but it did not bother her until Fenrir killed a harmless loner that had strayed onto their lands.
When Fereth had their pups, she disbanded Fenrir as their father. Outraged, Fenrir murdered her. A member took care of them out of kindness. Fenrir raised them to be coldblooded, as the entire Kazz'can pack.
When the kind-hearted daughter of Fereth grew and was told of the fate of her mother, she struck out for a pack of goodwill, now known as the Yeusei pack. Making sure they were across the river from the corrupt pack, Verre made a stand to her father. In a great battle, Fenrir was gravely wounded. Tears came to Verre's eyes at her injured father, but knew it had been for the best.
The War
Three packs of the land lived together, always in bitterness and hatred of each other. The low-lying Yeusei, courageous Kezzarei, and abmbitious Kazz'can. Borders constantly clashed as the Kazz'can pack tried to expand its territory, putting Yeusei and Kezzarei on the defense. Eventually, loners that had heard of Kazz'can's greatness built its numbers.
One night, the bloodthirsty pack launched an attack at the other packs, shoving them from their homes. Yeusei and Kezzarei fled over the mountains where they took refuge among a valley land. The two packs remained there, recovering from the vicious beating.
Two generations forward, Yeusei and Kezzarei joined as one pack to return to their rightful homes.
The Kazz'can pack now occupied what used to be both their territories, treating others with no mercy. Together, Yeusei and Kezzarei fought valiantly, side-by-side. They might have been at a loss, had a considerate Clan of cougars not lived nearby in the mountains. Descending ruthlessly upon the Kazz'can wolves, they were pushed back into their own territory.
Though Kezzarei and Yeusei allowed Kazz'can to remain, there has been a life-long grudge against the Yeusei in the eyes of the Kazz'can wolves. The cougar Clan living over the mountains was known as the Domo'asar.
Who says another war won't break out? The future is uncertain and strange. Have you wondered why we're called...Paravoid?
